In the remodeling world weird things come up, that don't occur in new construction. Due to this, most contractors charge by the hour, and don't give the job an estimated deadline. which can draw a project out. simply put, so they make more money.
In the occurrence, stuff is a lot worse than we thought behind walls, we will do a change order for the project that the homeowner signs and agrees too. other than this rarer occurrence, the upfront price is what you're getting, and our goal is to get in and out while doing quality work.

I deal with customers all the time that call us frustrated they hired the cheapest contractor, and they call us to come fix the work. We also put emphasis on durability! When you have someone work on your home you expect the outcome to be long-lasting. We recommend the best materials for our jobs. Many contractors will suggest crazy expensive flooring or tile, and undermine the structural integrity of the job, not using the right underlayment, substrate, or pre installation materials.
